Visiting this website
We use Cloudflare Workers to deliver this website and process contact-form requests. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., USA. Requests pass through Cloudflare’s global infrastructure. This involves technical information such as your IP address, the requested URL, request time, browser information and response status. HTTPS protects data in transit.
We process this information to deliver a reliable website and prevent abuse, based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have disabled Workers application logging and have not enabled visitor analytics. Cloudflare may still process operational and security information to provide and protect its service. Its privacy policy and data processing addendum explain its processing and safeguards.
Messages and email
If you contact us, we process your email address, subject, message and the information you choose to include so that we can respond. The form sends these details through Cloudflare to our mailbox at STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, using an encrypted mail connection. We do not keep a separate website database of messages. STRATO’s privacy information and data processing terms describe its services.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries about a contract or steps you request before entering one, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other correspondence, based on our interest in responding to enquiries. Providing the form details is voluntary, but we need them to send and answer your message. You may also email us directly.
Abuse prevention
The form uses an invisible spam-trap field and a short-term sending limit. For that limit, the server converts the connection IP address into a salted hash and uses it as a rate-limit key. We do not add the visitor’s IP address to the email. This processing serves our legitimate interest in protecting the form against spam and misuse under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
How long information is kept
We keep correspondence while it is needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. Once that purpose ends, we delete it unless legal retention duties or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require longer storage. Records subject to those duties are retained for the applicable statutory period. The form processes message content for delivery rather than storing it on the website; the rate-limit counter uses a 60-second window. Providers may retain operational or security records for as long as needed for their documented service, security and legal purposes. We have not enabled a separate archive of website access logs.
International processing
Cloudflare’s global service can involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Cloudflare participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; transfers covered by that framework rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision under Article 45 GDPR. For other relevant restricted transfers, its data processing addendum provides standard contractual clauses and supplementary safeguards under Article 46 GDPR. Cookies, fonts and external services
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, social-media embeds or newsletters on this website. Our website code does not set cookies or use browser storage to track visitors. Fonts and images are served with the website instead of being loaded from external font services.
Book purchase links open Gumroad; social links open YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. Following a link sends a request to that provider, which processes data under its own privacy information. We do not embed their checkout or tracking scripts here, and this website does not receive your payment-card details.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. We do not use your information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Right to object
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation.
